CSM Software Updates

CSM software updates have been made by Craig Safety Technologies. Changes to our Compliance Safety Manager (CSM) software make it easier to navigate within the system, will correct system bugs, and will provide more detailed information to system users.

CSM software updates will be available on March 31, 2014.

Craig Safety Technology listens to its customers, and we will continue to do CSM software updates to provide exactly what you need to get the most out of CSM. We welcome your suggestions for additional changes, so don’t hesitate to call us when you identify issues or have ideas on how to improve the usability of the system.

Home Page Redirect

Users were returned to the CSM Home Page after making changes or additions to their account. Users will no longer be routed back to the Home Page after making changes. Users will remain in the same location and in the same section of CSM after a change is made.

Link to Craig Safety Website

The link to the Craig Safety website was only available from the Home Page. The link to our website is now on all CSM pages.

Default List Sorting

The default sort for all lists was the order in which the data was entered. All lists will now be sorted alphabetically. If a list of names, sort will be by last name. User can still change the sorting as needed, but the default is now alphabetical.

Error Message Standardization

Different error messages appeared on different screens when an action was cancelled. Consistent error message will appear on all screens when cancelling an action.

Required Fields

Fields that are required were not identified. Required fields will be identified by a red asterisk (*) beside the field name. Error messages below the field (in red) will indicate that the field is required when it is left blank.

Standard Preventive Maintenance Plans

Each asset had to be updated with a Maintenance Plan, even if several assets had the same plan and schedule. User can create one Standard Preventive Maintenance Plan and apply it to multiple assets with a single click.

Training Expiration Report

There was no way to identify when employee training was going to expire. User can run a report for a specific date range to show when training is expiring and which employees need to be trained.

Employee Driver Report Change

Employee Driver Reports did not include Endorsements. Endorsements will be visible on the Employee Driver Report.

Escalation Alerts

All alerts were routed to a single individual. Alerts can be configured by the CSM Admin user to route to multiple users. Each alert can be configured separately so that the user can send the alerts to Managers, Owners, etc. as the Expiration Date of the renewable item is approaching.

User Manual Updates

User Manual did not include updates for enhancements. All enhancements will be added to the User Manual with instructions and explanations of how to use the new functionality.
